this museum was seriously amazing. the idea that the amount of soul music that came out of here in the short amount of time it did just baffles me. they dont allow photography inside so i didnt get a chance to take a picture of every single thing i saw. there was an actual gospel church that was re assembled inside. and a soul train dance floor. you know i danced on it. youll just have to use your imagination for that.
and my favorite man otis redding had a special exhibit there. god his voice is insane. they had pictures of him on his farm in georgia with his horses and pigs. i didnt know i could actually like him more but now its official. if you dont know who he is i might have to slap you in the face for a lil' bit.
oh and just incase you were wondering yes infact they do have stax oven gloves in the gift shop.
